Mahjong Events at Westhouse

I learned to play Mahjong early in the summer of 2024, and I was instantly hooked. I played nonstop, completely obsessed with the strategy, the tradition, and—most of all—the incredible community that forms around the table. What started as a casual game quickly became a passion, and I knew I wanted to share it with others. I began teaching friends and family, and offered classes through my venue at Westhouse.

Now, I’m excited to announce that I’ve taken the game a step further by partnering with @ohmymahjong , a brand that celebrates everything I love—gorgeous tile sets, fun accessories, and the amazing community that mahjong brings together as one of their certified teachers!

I am also so proud to have to co-founded Birmingham’s first Mahjong League last winter, @crackdotbham , creating a space where players of all levels can gather, learn, and enjoy the game together. It has been an amazing journey teaching mahjong over the past eight months, watching new players fall in love with the game just like I did.
